 Summary

As a Sr. Software Engineer at RCDb, I am responsible for designing, developing, testing and demonstrating new features/capabilities for Blu-ray players. We are working closely with large studios to implement Internet connectivity of Blu-ray technology into the latest movie releases. These discs (or embedded applications) have the capability of connecting to the Internet, updating the content of the disc from a designated web site, registering the discs, playing online games, uploading user scores, watching streaming videos and much more. 

 

Since 2004, I have been teaching computer science classes at University of Phoenix.


I am a software architect, developer and maintainer, specialized in Java, Android, C, C++, ANT and XML. Have vest knowledge in ORACLE and MS-SQL database management tools, SVN, ClearCase, ClearQuest, and all Microsoft tools.

Over 10 years of experience in software engineering field, 2 years of experience in Engineering Management and 6 years of experience as a Java instructor.  My software experience is mainly in J2EE environment, object-oriented design, development and building of Java-based enterprise systems.   Last 4 years of my career have been heavily involved in Blu-ray software development.

 

Active member of Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA).

Particularly interested in advancing in engineering management area.

Teaching two computer science classes (POS406 and POS407) from the programming languages section and two Java programming classes (PRG420 and PRG421).  Responsible for creating an assignment schedule, syllabus, weekly discussion questions, weekly individual and team assignments.  Also, responsible for reviewing all of the responses given by the students, grading them and answering their questions.

As a Sr. Software Engineer working in Research and Development department, I am responsible for design, development and maintenance of an authoring tool for High Definition movies for Blue Ray players. This tool allows authors to create high quality, state of the art menus for Blue Ray technology in a very short time, with an ease and without any knowledge of Java programming language.
